Our Teachers & Teaching Approach

Structured. Professional. Curriculum-driven.
Our teaching team

A structured academic team, not a marketplace of tutors.

πŸŽ“ Our Teachers

Our teachers are selected by the school, for their competences and expertise in online and face-to-face teaching. They are trained professionals with strong communication skills, clarity, and cultural knowledge.

They are based in Rwanda and teach online or face-to-face, depending on your program and availability.

All teachers receive internal training on our curriculum, teaching methodology, assessments, and learner support standards.

🧭 How We Work

We operate as a school, not a tutoring marketplace. Teachers are assigned by the school based on your level, goals, and availability.

Teachers rotate intentionally to prevent burnout, maintain quality, and expose you to multiple speaking styles and accents.

The curriculum is central. Teachers follow it strictly, do not contact students privately, and deliver lessons from Monday to Sunday, 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM.

Lesson Structure (Academic Framework)

Structured progression, real-life topics, and balanced skill development.

πŸ“š Curriculum Framework & Levels (A1–C2)

Curriculum Framework

Our curriculum follows the international CEFR structure, progressing from Beginner (A1) to Advanced (C2). At A1–A2, students focus on basic communication, daily situations, simple questions, and survival language.

At B1–B2, students develop fluency, accuracy, and interaction skills. They learn to express opinions, narrate events, and manage professional and social conversations.

At C1–C2, students refine natural expression, nuance, and advanced comprehension. Each level builds on the previous one, ensuring measurable progression.

🧩 Topic-Based Lesson Design & Language Development

Topic-Based Learning

Lessons are organized around real-life topics rather than isolated grammar drills. Each topic becomes a natural context for learning grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure.

  • New vocabulary
  • Grammar structures
  • Question and answer patterns
  • Affirmative and negative sentences
  • Practical dialogues
  • Real-life examples

This topic-based approach makes learning intuitive, practical, and easier to remember.

🎯 The Four Core Skills in Every Live Lesson

Four Language Skills

Each live lesson is built around the four essential language skills: reading, listening, writing, and speaking.

  • Reading: comprehension, pronunciation, recognition
  • Listening: natural speech understanding
  • Writing: accurate sentence formation
  • Speaking: real interaction and confidence

All four skills are practiced in every lesson to ensure balanced development and real communicative ability.

Booking, Accessing, Rescheduling & Cancelling Your Lessons

Flexible scheduling, transparent rules, and full control of your learning.

πŸ•’ Lesson Availability

You choose when you want to study based on your personal and professional schedule. Lessons are available every day of the week to accommodate students in different time zones.

  • Face-to-face lessons: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

  • Availability depends on teacher schedules

  • Independent booking
  • No manual scheduling

  • Instant confirmation

The platform automatically converts lesson times into each student’s local time zone. Students are responsible for ensuring their time zone settings are correct.

πŸ”” Confirmations & Lesson Access

Students may book up to the number of lessons included in their selected package. All bookings operate on a first-come, first-served basis and must be made at least 12 hours in advance.

  • Once booked, the time is fixed
  • Automatic calendar invitation sent
  • Google Meet link included for online lessons
  • Teacher and student calendars synchronized

This system ensures punctuality, transparency, and reliability.

πŸ”„ Cancellations, Rescheduling & Fair Use

Students may cancel or reschedule lessons directly through the platform or calendar.

  • No fee for cancelling or rescheduling
  • Cancelled lessons return to the system
  • Cancelled lessons do not consume your credit
  • Rescheduling is always better than a no-show

Cancelling in advance is strongly encouraged so teachers do not log in for unattended lessons. Repeated no-shows may result in lesson forfeiture.

Learning Outcomes, Progress & Certification

How fluency is defined, measured, and officially recognized

πŸ“ˆ Learning Outcomes & Fluency

Student Progress and Fluency

In our programs, fluency is defined as the ability to communicate independently, understand spoken language, and express ideas clearly in everyday situations. Progress depends on lesson frequency, student engagement, and prior exposure.

Students taking two to three lessons per week usually reach functional fluency in about three months, while students taking one lesson per week typically reach this level in about six months.

Progress is measured continuously through speaking performance, comprehension, vocabulary usage, and sentence construction, with clear milestones and personalized feedback.

πŸŽ“ Certificate of Proficiency (KINYALAPT)

Kinyarwanda Proficiency Certificate

The KINYALAPT is an international proficiency certificate created in partnership with our school and Gusoma Publishing. It operates independently from the learning program and assesses real communicative ability.

The test fee is not included in the program and must be requested separately. Certification levels range from A1 (Beginner) to C2 (Mastery).

This certificate allows students to officially prove their level for schools, employers, NGOs, and international opportunities.
